Working students
For horse lovers
For horse-lovers wishing to spend one full year in wonderful Andalusia, although we sometimes accept students for shorter periods, EPONA EQUESTRIAN CENTER offers the opportunity to improve riding skills and horse knowledge.
In exchange for stable work, and participation in other equestrian activities, students will receive:
- Full accommodation at the centre.
- Breakfasts and lunches (no dinners , and no lunches on weekends).
- Five dressage lessons per week with our highly qualified instructors. Some of your lessons may be on the lunge.
The day to day running of Epona allows students to learn about Stable Management, riding instruction and to safely guide rides out in the country following the BHS procedures.
All of the instructors will be happy to answer questions about our training methods, schooling and general horse management.
- Also the possibility to exercise or train horses (depending on your level), assist in escorting groups on trail rides in the country, assist instructors with lessons and observe and assist with horses being trained up to High School Level.
- And a great opportunity to learn and improve the Spanish language and to learn more about the Spanish culture.
- The maximum weight limit for working students is 75kg.
- The minimum age to apply is 18.
- You must speak basic English or Spanish.
